Great job performing this afternoon at opening session! I thought everything went extremely well in what is always a very nerve wracking experience - right in front of thousands of people!
You all handled it exceptionally well.

Thank you for all of your hard work for two weeks - and ending on this performance!

We are excited about this season - and expect to keep pushing hard to the end!

See everyone Monday morning - 9th graders will get fitted for uniforms for pictures on Tuesday.

PARENT PERFORMANCE CANCELED!

Parents & Students - due to what our school weather app is showing us in regards to lightning and rain around 6 PM this evening we will NOT be having our performance.

We will be ending rehearsal at 5 PM so that we can get the truck loaded outside of any rain coming this way! Once students have their equipment loaded they are free to leave - staff will be here through 6 PM to make sure everyone is picked up - no worries if that is the time you can get here!

This is a difficult decision to make but it is made in the interest of safety of everyone and our front ensemble equipment. All of this will still have to be loaded for tomorrow’s performance!

The band WILL be doing a portion of their halftime show at our scrimmage NEXT Friday - August 7 at Memorial Stadium. We hope to see you there and show you what all they have accomplished this camp!

Thank you for another great week of rehearsals - all of Movement 1 on the field marching and playing AND with visuals is no easy tasks. Especially with a show this complex.
As discussed at the end of rehearsal we will be ending at 11:30 AM tomorrow - enjoy your weekend, get some rest, and hydrate/heal up for next week!

Next week:
Wednesday starting at 6:00 PM - we will have our parent performance of some of what we have been working on during camp. This will be at the large practice facility. You should be able to park on the tennis court side of the parking lot and walk to it from there.

Thursday - Opening Session performance for all Ware County Schools staff at Ware County MS auditorium. Meeting at 12:00 PM.

BAND CAMP REMINDERS/INFO:
If you did not receive a postcard with info about band camp in the mail - a copy is attached below. Please make sure that you read over all of the information concerning camp starting next week!

Let's Get Started! Can't wait to see all the Golden Gators arrive at camp this week to get started on our 2026 Season! Please make sure you have looked over the information in the QR code folder to be prepared for your camp experience.

- Auxiliary & Percussion - July 13 & 14: 8AM-5PM
(Lunch 11:30-1)!
- Freshmen(Wind players) & Section Leaders/Squad Leaders -
July 13-14: 9AM-12PM
- Everyone starting July 15 (Wednesday): 8AM-5PM (Lunch 11:30-1)

A few things to remember:
- Plenty of water!
(Bring a large water jug with you every day. We have 2 brand new water fountains/fill stations in the band room for you to refill!)
- Sunscreen
- Deodorant
- Tennis shoes
(You can not march/practice on the field without the proper footwear - this does not need to be your nicest pair of shoes, they will get dirty!)
No crocs - ONLY tennis shoes!
- Eat breakfast
- Plenty of water!
