Cuthbertson Parents Class of 2021

As the end of summer draws near, we want to wish all of the Cuthbertson High School Class of 2021 Graduates great happiness and success on each of their journeys that lie ahead!!

Yearbooks have arrived! For students that purchased a 2020-2021 CHS yearbook, a drive-thru distribution will take place in the student parking lot this THURSDAY, JULY 22 from 5:00 to 7:30pm (note this is a schedule change due to weather).

Cap & gown proofs will also be distributed to graduates.

Keep an eye on your email this week too - Lifetouch is currently sending emails with photo proofs from the graduation ceremony.

Parents, we will have two balloon displays for photo opportunities tonight (hopefully no rain) at the front of the school and in front of the stadium!

🎓🎓IMPORTANT GRADUATION INFORMATION‼

The 2021 Graduation Ceremony will be held on Thursday, June 3 at 8:00 p.m. in Cavalier Stadium. Gates will open at 6:30pm. All traffic will enter through the entrance at the end of the service road beyond the MIDDLE SCHOOL campus.

Parking and seating will be on a first come-first serve basis. Parking will be limited, so please consider carpooling. Overflow parking will be directed to the middle school.

Seniors need to report to the Senior Patio no later than 7:00pm. The ceremony will begin promptly at 8:00pm, so please arrive in plenty of time to park and get seated.

Today during rehearsal, each senior received a packet containing 8 tickets, 5 programs, earned regalia and their diploma. A graduation medal will be given to each graduate tomorrow before the processional. Additional tickets and programs will NOT be available at the gate. A ticket will be required for entry.

We will continue to watch the weather. Our goal is to complete the event on the evening that is scheduled. If inclement weather forces us to delay or postpone the event, communications will be sent via Facebook, Twitter and Blackboard Connect Email and Text as soon as it is confirmed. In the case that inclement weather strikes during the ceremony, we will ask that all graduates report to the gymnasium, while all others in attendance report to their cars. While students will not be required to wear a mask during the ceremony, they should bring one in the event we are forced to move inside the building.

All UCPS graduation ceremonies will be shown via livestream. Links to each ceremony can be found on the UCPS web page.

🎓🎓REMINDER: GRADUATION REHERSAL TOMORROW, Wednesday, June 2 at 10:00am.

Students should report directly to the stadium.

We will be serving a Senior Lunch at 11:30am following rehearsal. Students will be encouraged to eat outside, so please have them bring beach towels and/or lawn chairs.

Each senior will now receive 8 tickets for graduation!! 🎉

🎉🚗🚙SENIOR PARADE —WED., MAY 19🚗🚙🎉

Back by popular demand, Cuthbertson High School will be hosting a Senior Parade on Wednesday, May 19. Senior parents and school employees are invited to line the pathway (socially distanced!) and cheer on our Class of 2021 as they drive through in their cars.

Seniors should arrive on campus between 7:00 – 8:00 PM to participate. Please do not arrive early, as we will be parking spectators.

📍Students should enter through the entrance across from Champion Forest.

📢Anyone that would like to come cheer on the Seniors should arrive before 6:45 PM and park in the student parking lot. Please do not arrive late, as it will interfere with parade traffic.

📢Spectators will line the pathway in a socially distanced manner.

📢Students are encouraged to decorate their cars.
Students should follow all safety protocols and expectations.

🚩REMINDER FOR ACADEMIC SIGNING DAY TOMORROW! Virtual students coming onto campus can park in the bus lot.

Attention CHS Seniors!

We will hold our 4th annual Academic Signing Day event tomorrow, May 18th, during first block. This is an opportunity to recognize your post-secondary plans (college, military, employment, etc.)!

ALL Seniors are welcome to participate; if you are virtual or flex during first block, there will be a sign-in/sign-out table for you located at the entrance of the stadium.

* If you attend school in person, please wait for the announcement to come to the stadium and bring a pen/marker with you to sign the senior banner afterwards.

** Also, the Senior "2021" photo will follow immediately after on the football field!

Be sure to wear your COLLEGE or Cuthbertson spirit wear and be ready to celebrate! Go Cavs!
