What does the senior package include, you ask. Well, throughout the school year, the senior committee provides all sorts of fun events for your student to attend. We provide multiple Chick-fil-A or pancake breakfasts for the seniors. We host a prom fashion show.

We help the Student Council Senior Class by providing food and drink at events such as: Senior Sunrise, Senior Sunset, and the ever-famous Senior Week! And these are just to name a few. Have you heard about all of the cool raffles for gift cards the seniors receive throughout the year? Well, the majority of this comes from your donations provided in this senior package. They also receive the awesome senior t-shirt that, staying with tradition, was designed and voted on by the current senior class!

Oh, and don’t forget the Marvin Senior yard sign to proudly display in your yard all year long!

Teacher & Staff Apprecation Week Continues!
Yesterday we restocked the staff breakroom with snacks! We could not have done this without the help of our MRHS parents and their generous donations!

Dear Parents of Rising Seniors (Class of 2024),

Your Juniors were sent the email below regarding our Senior T-shirt Design Contest, including the link to upload their design.

Attention Rising Seniors: You are invited to participate in the Senior T-Shirt design contest.
It has been a long-standing Marvin Ridge tradition that the rising senior class design their own t-shirts to commemorate their senior year.

To keep the tradition alive, it is time for the Class of 2024 Senior T-Shirt Design Contest.

Please consider the following:
• Contest is open to all rising seniors from May 1-15, 2023.
• Submissions can be drawn or created on the computer. It must be ORIGINAL artwork!
• Please keep in mind when creating a design that we will continue with the time honored
black senior t-shirt.
• Use no more than 1-2 colors.
• Designs for front and back are no bigger than 12x14".

Once the designs are submitted, the rising seniors will vote for their favorite design which will be printed and marked in MRHS history as the Class of 2024 t-shirt. These t-shirts are
displayed on the wall across from the main gym. The senior with the winning design will win a FREE senior banquet ticket with a prize value of $50!

It’s Staff Appreciation Week at MRHS! On Monday, the PTSO treated the staff to specialty coffee drinks from BrewLaLa! A special thanks to Alicia Murray with David Upchurch Real Estate and Grow Mortgage for sponsoring this event!

It's time to celebrate our teachers and staff and show them how much we appreciate them. The PTSO appreciation committee is busy arranging and coordinating a coffee truck, treats from Nothing Bundt Cakes and lunch throughout the week. But it would be really great if you could take a few minutes and send your favorite teachers and staff member a handwritten note, and/or gift card. They work so hard for our students throughout the year. Let's show them some extra love this week!

This Spring, come get your senior portraits and/or family portraits taken by Karen Morneau Photography! This wonderful event is both a fundraiser for the school (Ms. Morneau graciously donates 100% of the $75 sitting fee to the PTSO) and an ideal way to create a cherished family memory. Your four-legged family members are more than welcome, so bring them along! This professional photography session will be 15-20 minutes, during which Ms. Morneau will take multiple pictures of your family or senior portraits. Within 2 weeks your gallery of proofs will be emailed to you for viewing, with options to purchase digital proofs and/or prints. The MRHS PTSO will award FOUR $1000 scholarships this spring to seniors graduating in the Class of 2023. The scholarship recipients will be chosen by the MRHS Scholarship Committee, which is composed of representatives from each academic department. The scholarship recipients will be announced in early May and will be honored on Awards Day on May 25, 2023. Applicant must be a Marvin Ridge Senior and must be a current member of MRHS PTSO.

Help us celebrate our Guidance Staff! In recognition of National School Counselor Week, Feb. 6 - 10, the PTSO is asking parents to show your appreciation with a note to your counselor, and if you choose, a little something. If you need some help on ideas we've attached a list of their favorites.

The PTSO stocked the staff breakroom today! Thank you to all sophomore parents for donating so many snacks for this effort! The shelves are filled with chip and cookies, popcorn and pretzels, granola bars, goldfish, candy and more!! We also stocked the fridge with various sodas and sparkling water!
