*Here is a copy of the info email we sent out Tuesday February 16, 2021. If you did not personally receive it, but are interested in the 2021-2022 ICC school year, please email us at [email protected] so we can keep you in the loop!*
Hello and thank you for your interest in Inspire Christian Co-op. Whether you are new to us, a previous member, or have been with us since the beginning, we are honored to share ICC with you. Please feel free to forward this email to anyone that you feel would benefit from this community.
ICC was formed over the summer of 2016. We saw a need to create a place in the greater Waxhaw area for homeschool families to come together and build community through intentional and engaging activities. Our mission is to create a positive environment for home school children to grow and engage with each other. We accomplish this by bringing together a group of Kingdom-focused, Christ-centered families who share the same passion for developing life-long learners who will become faith-filled, responsible citizens.
ICC is a mom-operated co-op that is centered around science, history and the creative arts. We offer four, 6-week sessions each year with a 2 week break between each session (This sometimes is altered due to calendar breakdown and holidays.) Science and history are alternated between sessions and each session also includes a creative arts/elective-type class as well as a holiday party/celebration. We currently meet on Mondays and Tuesdays (identical days, you would attend one, not both) between the hours of 9:30 and 1:00 pm at Waxhaw Bible Church.
What does "mom-operated" mean? In order to pull off a high quality day for all of our children, it takes a lot of moving parts and that is where you come in! We ask that each mom commit to attending and helping on a weekly basis. Each mom will be active in the classrooms as well as helping to manage the work of a weekly co-op.
Our community is not only active with one another but we also try to get out and about as well. We will be offering monthly opportunities for field trips, community service projects and much needed mom's nights out. These are optional events that you and your family are encouraged and welcome to attend. Sometimes our weekly meetings can be pretty busy so getting out together on another day is often a great time to make refreshing connections.
Our heart in building this community is that Jesus Christ would be our anchor and at the center of all we do. We have prayerfully made changes each year to accommodate the rapid and continual growth we have experienced. While desiring to be as inclusive as possible, we have learned that in order to maintain a level of intimacy that provides for authentic relationships, we have to be very intentional when building our rosters. Having overcrowded classes or too many moms in the mix on any given day makes it difficult to build the type of community we strive to have at ICC. With the majority of our families returning each year, we typically have limited openings on our rosters. We encourage you to learn about our program, pray about your family’s participation, and trust that God will make a way to bring you into the Inspire family if that’s where he wants you to be!
So what does all this fun cost? Tuition is $200 per family and covers rent, insurance and other miscellaneous administrative needs. There is a supply fee of $20 per student (babies through 8th grade) and typically $100-$150 per high school student depending on the curriculums chosen. Other costs are $10 every other year for background checks as well as optional t-shirts for children at $5 each.
If this sounds like something your family would be interested in, we HIGHLY encourage you to attend our information meeting on Tuesday March 30th. Please respond to this email (current members need to RSVP as well) and let us know if you will be attending and we will send you the time and location in return. Also, if you are new to ICC, we ask that you let us know who referred you to us as well as the names, genders and date of birth of your kiddos that would be attending. Please also feel free to email us at [email protected] with any questions you may have. Finally, if you would like to be removed from our email distribution list, please click unsubscribe below. This will remove you from ALL future communication.
We look forward to meeting you at the information meeting in March and are excited to see what God has in store for the 2021-2022 school year!

Sincerely,
Gina Nutter and Rebecca Haigler
