Yesterday, Navarro College Fire & EMS held their annual Advisory Board meeting to update our members and it was the largest turnout we’ve had in years; standing room only! If you didn’t make it, you missed out.

A big thank you to all of our affiliates and faculty that took time to come and fellowship with us. We can’t do this without your support.

Also, thank you to El Fenix of Waxahachie for providing our lunch.

Paramedic student J. Tyler is in the middle of his final capstone clinical period, which once completed will leave him, and classmates, clocking roughly 584 hours since October 2025. Mr. Tyler is part of our fast track program that meets Monday-Friday mid October - mid June. With this fast paced schedule it leaves students only weekends and school holidays to complete their hours not even factoring in those who are continuing to work.

We are excited to see students soaking up every learning opportunity and words of wisdom from our trusted clinical partners!

Today—and every day—we are thankful for our incredible students, dedicated staff, the hospitals, ambulance services, and fire departments that make our program possible.

Hudson spent years as an adjunct instructor in our EMT classes, quickly becoming a student favorite thanks to his patience, passion, and the way he made every lesson meaningful. While we were sad to see him leave to focus on a new career direction, we’re incredibly proud of all he’s achieved. Congratulations!!

Our Shift-based Paramedic program completed some in depth training on high stress, OB and delivery complications that can be encountered in the field. Thank you to Holly Feller-Smith for providing some exciting training to our students. Navarro’s newest medics will be ready for anything OB!

A major accomplishment, our Summer EMT students all passed National Registry on the 1st attempt. 100% passed on the first try!
