What a way to end the year!! Maddox and Nick weighed the biggest 5 fish limit for WHS this season tipping the scales at 17.02lbs which put them in 5th place out of over 170 teams. Fisher and Luke followed 9.15lbs and a 26th place finish. Ty and Jacob were right behind them in 34th place with 7.17lbs. In 35th place we had Noah and Christian with 7.13lbs. Those 4 teams earned enough points to put Waxahachie in 4th place out of 31 other schools competing at Cedar Creek.

Next stop is Regionals at Lake Palestine. All 4 teams above qualified this year! Good Luck Anglers!

Seven WHS Fishing Teams braved a rough Richland Chambers to square off against 173 (180 total teams) other HS teams on Saturday. Fishing was tough with 86 teams not catching a keeper. Nick Florez and Maddox Phillips were the highest placing WHS team coming in 29th place followed by Luke Ballard and Fisher Vaughan in 31st.

Fishing should be better next month as we finish off the regular season on Cedar Creek!

Junior High Anglers the next CTHSTT event is March 1st on Lake Waco!! Lake is off limits starting Feb. 25th.
