Ellis County Sheriff's Office Explorers

Earlier this year one of our former explorers, Colten Prater, now with Texas DPS, was promoted to sergeant! While he has held his rank for a few months he was recently “officially” promoted at a ceremony. We are very proud of him!

Yesterday the Explorers held their annual Toy Drive Dinner . Thanks to Chick-Fil-A Red Oak, Chick-Fil-A Waxahachie, Crumbl Cookies Waxahachie, First Baptist Chirch of Waxahachie, Chicken Express Waxahachie, and Nothing Bundt Cakes Waxahachie for their sponsorship. They all provided our dinner and desserts for these families! We could not do this without their support. Thanks to all the Deputies, Troopers, Explorers, staff, and community members for helping us bring some joy to these kids!!!

Please join us on December 16th at pocket park in Waxahachie (College st and Franklin St) to honor and remember Isaia Bias. Friends and family of Isaiah will be at the park much of the day and there will be a ceremony held at 12pm as well.

Our second annual pumpkin carving contest!

Congratulations to Mason Griffin for recently swearing in at the Hill County Sheriff’s Office! Mason was an explorer with the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office back when Sheriff Hunter Barnes was our Explorer Advisor.
