Our 5th graders took their final walk through the halls of Dunaway during our Elephant Walk, surrounded by cheers, smiles, hugs, and so much love from the students and staff who have watched them grow over the years.
It feels like just yesterday they walked through our doors as little Chiefs, and now they leave us as leaders, role models, and young people ready for middle school. The next time many of them walk these halls together will be as graduating seniors… the Class of 2033. 🎓
We are so proud of the memories they’ve made, the challenges they’ve overcome, and the impact they’ve left on our school family. Once a Dunaway Chief, always a Chief.

What an incredible year it has been at Dunaway!
School’s out for summer! ☀️ We are so grateful for the love and support shown to our staff throughout this year. A huge thank you to HUF Construction for sponsoring our End-of-Year Staff Luncheon and helping us celebrate an amazing school year together.
Our 1st graders became business owners for the day! 🍪🧃🧀 Kindergarteners used play money to shop while students learned all about goods, services, spending, and earning in our classroom store. Financial literacy fun in action! 💵🛒✨
Last week, we wrapped up our Kings and Queens unit with the sweetest celebration—our Kindergarten Kinder Ball! 👑✨ Our little royals showed up ready to dance, smile, and celebrate like true kings and queens!

What’s more fun than a Principal for the Day?! Two! 🎉
Ms. Brady and Mr. Riggs came ready to serve! From the moment they arrived, they jumped right into the job with smiles, leadership, and lots of enthusiasm.
They helped deliver breakfast pastries to teachers, visited classrooms to reward students caught doing their best, helped during lunch duty, completed checks with Officer Gonzales, welcomed our UPS delivery driver, and even included one of our former Principals for the Day, Miss Escobedo, in the fun!
And to top it all off, Mr. Riggs even “banned” homework for the rest of the year! 😊
Thank you both for bringing so much joy, leadership, and fun to our day!
