🗽 The Traveling Indians Take NYC! 🗽
The Traveling Indians and their families are having an incredible time exploring New York City! Yesterday’s adventure brought us face-to-face with one of America’s most iconic landmarks—the Statue of Liberty. 🇺🇸
From making unforgettable memories to experiencing history firsthand, this trip has been an amazing opportunity for our students and families to learn, explore, and grow together.
Interested in joining us on our next adventure? 🌴✈️ The Traveling Indians are headed to Puerto Rico next year! If you’d like more information about how to be part of the trip, contact Ms. Upchurch.

We are beyond proud of all of our dedicated and hardworking teachers and staff at Finley Junior High.
⭐ A huge congratulations to our very own Mrs. Bullock for being named Secondary Teacher of the Year for the district! Mrs. Bullock’s passion, creativity, and dedication to her students and Fine Arts program make a lasting impact every single day. Finley Junior High is so proud to call her one of our own!
⭐ We also want to honor and thank Ms. Morrow, one of our outstanding school counselors, on her retirement after 30 years of service in Waxahachie ISD. Ms. Morrow has touched countless lives through her kindness, compassion, and unwavering support of students, staff, and families. Her impact on Finley and WISD will be felt for years to come, and she will be greatly missed.
We are also incredibly proud of several other Finley staff members who were recognized.
⭐ Mrs. Balina – Support Staff of the Year, for always serving others with a positive attitude, hard work, and a caring heart.
⭐ Ms. Stacy – Rookie Teacher of the Year, for making an immediate impact through her dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment to students.
⭐ Mrs. Pruitt – honored for 19 years of service as Varsity Swim Coach at WHS. Her leadership and dedication to student athletes over the years are truly remarkable.
⭐ Ms. Schoendienst and Mrs. Hall – recognized for earning TIA, a reflection of their excellence in the classroom and commitment to student success.
Thank you to all our teachers and staff for the love, passion, and excellence you bring to our students each and every day. Go Warriors!

Our staff was treated to a delicious barbecue lunch earlier this week provided by Minyon and Deborah Finley! We always enjoy seeing their smiling faces and appreciate their kindness and generosity. It is a privilege to honor Mr. Eddie Finley and the legacy that continues to have a positive impact on our school and community.
