What can we say? So much greatness is happening this summer ☀️!

Teachers are helping coordinators with pacing and plans 💻, Newcomer Camp is half-way done 🏕️ , Summer School is rocking 📝, we even learned how to call a chicken 🐥 (sort of).

Summer is so fun! Everything is possible.

Summer learning has officially kicked off!

Our Bilingual / ESL summer school 🦸🏻‍♀️ and Newcomer Camp 🏕️ had an incredible first day, filled with engaging learning experiences and beaming smiles, setting the stage for a summer of growth and discovery.

The Dual Language program is part of TLI where we work on big stuff and very specific educational stuff.

We could not be more proud of this young man OR the team who helped and monitored and supported in the background through the journey. The work is often tedious and compliance driven but worth it, because the work is also full of joy and success stories. Obviously it paid off. I mean…David is off to STANFORD!!!

We want to shout out two members of our TLI team for 30 years with WISD!

Ginger Robinson has served our district as a resident, parent, and employee. While she has worked in many roles, her expertise in counseling and passion for what is best for students helps her shine bright in her current role as Director of Educational Support and Counseling Services.

Dawn Hilburn (aka Coach Hilburn, aka Data Dawn) has also led WISD through various leadership roles. Her presence and voice are a staple in the district. She continues to innovate, raise the bar, and teach us about all things data as Director of Assessment & Accountability.

We are grateful for their commitment, consistency, collaboration, and love for our WISD community! 😍🤩 They make us better at TLI!!

The school year may be over, but TLI is still working hard behind the scenes. And we can’t wrap up this year without celebrating some seriously epic growth. We LOVED shouting out our elementary teachers who had 80% + of their students meet their MAP growth goal. We even had one teacher, Honey Lantrip- 1st grade at Simpson, who had 100% of her students meet their growth goal in math AND reading!! We are so ridiculously proud. There might have been some (awkward) happy dances happening. Help us keep the love going for these awesome educators! (Not all are pictured)

Congratulations on an incredible achievement! You've navigated another year with resilience and determination. Thank you to our students, teachers, staff, and community for making the 25-26 school year truly unforgettable. We feel privileged to collaborate with such a vibrant and dedicated group of individuals.

We loved recognizing and celebrating our incredible Reading Interventionists today as they wrapped up their final PLC of the year. This team goes above and beyond for our WISD students each and every day! 🤩 We can hardly contain our excitement for the greatness they will bring in 26-27!

So proud of these students and everyone who helped them reach this milestone!

TLI was so happy to partner with Waxahachie ISD CTE / Waxahachie FFA and Ellis County 4-H to bring Ag Day to all fourth graders in Waxahachie ISD. Two fun days of learning and community were had.

Students smiled as they made butter, watched cotton be processed, pet a lamb, saw beef cattle up close, learned about plants and erosion, visited a corn and wheat station, heard from current CTE and 4-H students, and saw a mobile dairy classroom!

My favorite student comment was about shearing sheep. As he did the mental math, he exclaimed, “That’s $800,000! He made $800,000!” 🤑

The amount of volunteers who helped make these days possible shows how strong our Waxahachie community really is.
