The KSU Concert Band Clinic concerts are about to begin! There are 17 Lebo and Waverly students that have worked hard to prep music that they only got on Friday night - truly a sprint in musical performance terms! Mrs. Herring and I are very proud of their behavior and performance this weekend.

Our 7 Waverly students are placed for their concerts on Sunday! All concerts are at McCain Auditorium on the KSU campus and are free and open to attend! Come support your Bulldog musicians!

Peep the pep band tonight at the Homecoming game OR catch us at Welch Stadium NEXT WEDNESDAY when the 7-12th graders perform at 11:29 AM as a part of the ESU Marching Festival's Friday Night Lights Exhibition!

Our finale concert is at noon today! Join us in the grade school gym for some COOL band music in this HOT weather!

Due to the ongoing work at WHS, all Summer Band events on Friday. August 4th, will be at WGS, in the gym! The schedule is a little bit different, so make sure you check it out below!

Summer band camp week is almost upon us! Remember, students who were ALREADY in band, can come to the 9 AM session to play their regular instrument, then stay to try a new instrument if they choose! This group is always small - bring your band friends and get your face back in shape!!
Beginner students should just come to the beginning session of their chosen instrument. All of these groups will meet in the high school band room, and students will NEED to enter and exit from the northwest doors, as the commons area is off limits!
Didn't get signed up ahead of time? That's okay! Come on down on Monday morning with your $10!
Can only do part of the week? That's okay too! We just want to make some music together!
Finale concert location: TBD, pending building availability. Stay tuned!

This Sunday there'll be a short, fun flute choir concert in the commons area of the high school, featuring the Emporia Community Flute Choir! Join us for your chance to see flutes of ALL shapes and sizes, including the ONLY contrabass flute in the STATE!
5:00 PM - come get out of the heat and enjoy a little music!
