Strep Throat has, unfortunately, officially hit us! Symptoms we are seeing: Headache, Sore Throat, Stomachache, Nausea, Vomiting, Fever. Some have all the symptoms and some have only a couple. Please watch your students and we ask that you report any positive cases to the office!

We already had TWO teeth lost on the first day of school! These two girls already got to add their name to the special Tooth Door in Ms. Joslynne’s office and joined the Hamlow Tooth Team of 26/27. These girls are also showing off our brand new special hand sewn tooth keepers! This year, for the first time, our Hamlow students will get to take home a special hand sewn tooth pillow made by a former 6th grader. Through a new partnership between Ms. Joslynne and Waverly Middle School FCS teacher, Ms. Foster, our Hamlow students will continue to get to take home these special gifts each year. Each pillow also comes with a tag with the name of the 6th grader who made it. It’s really special to see our older students giving back to our littles!

We were SO busy today we didn’t have time to catch many photos. We did, however, catch some of our newest Vikings on the “big kid” playground for the first time! Take a peek at how amazing our Kindergarteners did on their first day getting in straight lines!! Wow!! Can’t wait for day ✌🏻

T’was the night before school and all around Waverly, Kindergarteners, First and Second graders all went to sleep soundly for when they awake in the morn and arrive excitedly at Hamlow’s doors, our little Hamlow Dream Team will be born!

Hamlow staff have been hard at work prepping for our friends to come fill our classrooms tomorrow! Just a reminder for school day hours the first day:
1st and 2nd grade: 825-320
Kindergarten: 840- 320

Front doors open at 800 am for students to enter every school day of the year. Breakfast is served from 800-820.

On Friday, EVERYONE will have the same school hours, which are 825-320!

🔔REMINDER: Hamlow Open House (Meet Your Teacher) is Tuesday August 11 from 530-630 PM!

Things you can do at Open House:
✔️Meet Your Student’s Teacher!
✔️Bring in all supplies. Your student’s teacher will give instructions on what to do with them!
✔️Turn in cash/check for snack and/or lunch, if applicable
✔️Turn in birth certificate if you received an email from the Hamlow Office recently requesting it.
✔️Turn in any health/medical records and and any medications or action plans!
✔️Turn in any PTO forms!
✔️Complete online forms if you still need to do so.
✔️Ask questions!
✔️Have fun! Hamlow is such a fun, safe, inviting and inclusive place to come and be!

We can’t wait to see everyone and meet all of our friends that are new to Hamlow!
