Wartburg College Education Department A degree in education at Wartburg College offers outstanding classroom experiences. You can use your talents and abilities to become an effective and reflective teacher in a life of professional service and leadership.

You will find job opportunities in education at any level, from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. By majoring in education, you can work with children in diverse classroom settings, share your interest in a content area, and impact the future. You can explore children's literature, literacy, reading, curriculum, educational psychology, early childhood, field placements, and special education.

[05/25/21]   A couple of awesome Wartburg Grads in the SPOTLight.
In Sarasota, FL, Claire Schroeder was presented with the May Chalkboard Champion Award. She teaches 4th grade at Daughtrey Elementary in Manatee County. She will receive $500 courtesy of May Custom Home. Her class was in-person this past year and she said it took teamwork to make it a safe and productive year.
Locally, Adrienne Boettiger was awarded the Cedar Valley Tools for Schools Program winner. Boettiger teaches Middle and High School Math at Waterloo Christian School. She too won $500. Her plan is to use the grant money for alternative seating and desks for her high-energy classroom. (KWWL & Green State Credit Union.)
