📣 CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS 📣 Long post alert: PLEASE READ!!!
Want to get involved with PTA activities this upcoming school year? Be able to be in the classroom with your kiddos for holiday parties and events? YOU CAN! All you need to do is: be a current member of the PTA, have a completed AHSD volunteer application submitted and current clearances (submitted to the school also).
If that sounds like a lot, don’t worry. We’ve got you covered. Here is a breakdown of which clearances you need to have and how to access them:
1. Act 34 - Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check - FREE FOR VOLUNTERS - When you access this site click on "New Record Check (Volunteers only)". Upon completion, click on “Certification Form" and print your document. This is the way to get your clearance without delay. 🔗—> https://epatch.pa.gov/home
2. Act 151 - Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Certification - FREE FOR VOLUNTEERS - If you choose to submit via paper, please note your results could be delayed by a few weeks. Please consider submitting your information on-line to speed up the process of obtaining this clearance. 🔗 —> https://www.compass.dhs.pa.gov/cwis/public/home
3. If you have resided outside of PA within the past 10 years: Act 114 - FBI Criminal History Record Check - $23.85 🔗—> https://www.identogo.com/locations/pennsylvania Scroll down and click on "Digital Fingerprinting". The service code to be entered for school district volunteers is 1KG6Z.J. Click on "Schedule an appointment". You may click on "Locate an Enrollment Center" to view the closest centers to your location. State records checks, certifications and fingerprints expire 5 years from the date of request / verification date on the form.
After completing your paperwork and obtaining all records checks, please submit the paperwork at the appropriate building, or scan them (photos and screenshots not acceptable) to: [email protected] Completed applications will be submitted for board approval at the next scheduled school board meeting.
