9TH GRADE FIRST DAY!!!!

Good morning WHS parents....Attached is the schedule for your student TODAY (8.11.26) as well as our parking/drop off map as a reference.

If you are dropping of your student, please enter the northwest parking lot off of Amberly Road and use the circle drive nearest the building to drop off your student.

Remember, class will dismiss for the day today at 1:30 PM.

Looking forward to a GREAT first day with our 9th grade class!

WHS PED REMINDERS!!!

As we start the new school year, please review PED expectations for Waverly High School!

Devices should be silenced and stored in designated locations during class.
Phones and other personal electronic devices may be used during passing periods and lunch.
Devices that are on a student or in use during class are considered a policy violation.

Please take a few minutes to review these expectations with your student before the first day of school.

Hello Waverly High School Parents & Guardians!

I hope this newsletter finds you well as we close out the summer and prepare for the 2026-2027 school year! As families and as schools, we have navigated the busyness of the summer activities calendars. Within the building our custodians and maintenance staff have worked hard to prepare the building for the upcoming school year. And the Viking staff has continued over the summer to work to prepare systems and curriculums to have the greatest impact on our student learning here at WHS. It is an exciting time here at WHS and I look forward to having students back in the building this month!

As I have shared this summer, I again wanted to share with you FOUR values that I hold to that will help to guide me as I lead the staff and students here at WHS!

Value - All people, places, and time have value and we will strive to make sure we will value those accordingly!

Integrity - Do the right thing at all times and at all places; Do what you say and say what you do!

Kaizen - Japanese saying for "constant improvement;" Work to be 1% better each and every day!

Excellence - Do it the right way, do it at the right time, every time!

This month's newsletter is focused on back to school information for parents and students with dates and graphics highlighting important information as we begin a new school year. Additionally, you can find information from a variety of departments within the building and District 145.

As I have said before, please do not hesitate to reach out to me ([email protected]) with any questions or concerns you may have. I hope to see many of you and chat with you at the Waverly High School Open House on Tuesday, August 11th or see you at a number of Viking Activities events here this fall!

Join us as we kick off the 2026–27 school year! We encourage all 9th–12th grade students and their families to attend.

Open House Schedule:

3:00–6:00 PM – Chromebook Checkout
6:00–6:30 PM – Welcome & Presentation by WHS Administration
6:30–7:30 PM – Open House / Meet the Teachers

This is a great opportunity to meet your teachers, hear important information from the administration, get your Chromebook, and start the school year feeling prepared and connected.
