We’re not sure anyone could have pondered the extraordinary journey of this production when we started it a year ago.
From the theme to the music to original compositions to the mural creation to videos & photos to the dedication of the details that go into the movement & lights, transitions & even the intricate design of the ornament, it is an honor to serve together.

What leaves us in awe & wonder is the dedication & unity of our amazing students. They are a beautiful reflection of our campus mission through lives of leadership, faith, service & learning in all that they do. We are so grateful to share time with them, so that we may ponder how to grow in love & service to others because of them.

What a gift to have so many of our amazing friends and families in attendance last night, including commissioned composer, Elaine Hagenberg, who’s selection Love’s Pure Light was premiered, and Paul Hoffman, who wrote the beautiful lyrics to Night of Wonder!

We look forward to welcoming attendees to our concerts this year. For those of you attending the 3 p.m. concert on Saturday, please be aware the NCAA Div. III quarter-final football championship game is also on campus that afternoon so we recommend you arrive extra early to provide enough time for parking. If you are bringing someone with you who has difficulty walking, please be sure to drop them off in the drop-off area in front of Neumann Auditorium before parking. The lots closest to Neumann Auditorium are E and F lots on the south and east sides of campus. Street parking is also available around campus. Parking lot information can be found at

A new email will go out later today. To clarify, masks are NOT required for any 2022 performances. However, you are welcome to wear one if you wish. As you prepare for Christmas with Wartburg this weekend, please read the following reminders:

Double Check Show Dates/Times
Please be sure to check your show time and date on your ticket receipt. If you chose the delivery option, you should have received your tickets in the mail. If you chose will call, your tickets will be at the will-call table in the lobby. Doors will open 30 minutes prior to the show start time.

If you selected the e-ticket/print at home option, be sure to print out all your tickets on your home printer to save time upon arrival. Please bring your printed tickets with you and not the receipt email. If you forget to bring the tickets, please arrive early and visit the will-call desk in the lobby and they will check you in.

Remember your mask!
The seating in Neumann Auditorium makes it impossible to provide social distancing so vaccination and masking are the best defense we have to mitigate exposure to the virus. Masking will be required for all audience members regardless of vaccination status. If you forget your mask, disposable masks will be available in the lobby. Please share this information with your party so all are aware of this policy.

Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines has ample parking for guests around the church. During the weekend of Christmas with Wartburg there are campus parking lots available to the public.
