This week, junior tenor Aiden Doherty will be the first student to represent Waverly in the NYSSMA All-State Chorus in 16 years. We are so proud of Aiden and his accomplishments on the stage and off. He will head to Rochester on Thursday morning to rehearse with the chorus for a few days, and the experience will culminate with a concert on Sunday morning. Tickets can be purchased online at NYSSMA.org. Congratulations, Aiden!

We sang the anthem for the Binghamton Black Bears tonight to a huge crowd! Great job by the chorus!

Chorus Parents: The 2022 Chorus Fundraiser will be delivered tomorrow (Tuesday, December 6th.) Please be ready for frozen items to come home with students. If your student sold more than a few things, they will probably need it to be picked up. If they sold only a few, they should be able to carry it home with them. The items need to get into a freezer within a few hours of leaving the school, so be ready to deliver them to customers or get them into a freezer at home. Day 1 in the books! When you get to Florida, what’s the first thing you do? Marching band rehearsal, of course!

Then it was beach time, and a hot dog and hamburger dinner at the hotel. A great first day. Tomorrow it’s off to Universal Studios!
