Last night, the Warriors traveled to Eaton Rapids for their second game of the season!
JV played a tough, hard-fought game that came down to the final minutes. The defensive line was strong all night long! Shoutout to Josiah Hernandez, Medy Nunez, and Ezekiel Moreno for playing tough defense and holding things down. Freshman goalkeeper Izaiah Hardin came up with some big saves to keep the Warriors in the game.
With little time left on the clock, freshman Laith Dawood found the back of the net for his first goal of the season, tying the game and giving the Warriors an exciting finish! Final score was 1-1.
Varsity had a tough night, battling from start to finish and working through a few injuries along the way. Although the Warriors came up short, there were still some great moments to celebrate!
Isaiah Waldron was in the right place at the right time to score his first goal of the season, and Andreas Perez put one in the back of the net with a great header following a shot from John AlShoufani.
It wasn’t the result we wanted, but there is still a lot of soccer left to play! Come on out and support the Warriors for our FIRST HOME GAMES this Thursday night!

⚽️ WHAT A WAY TO KICK OFF THE SEASON! ⚽️
The Warriors traveled to Charlotte for the boys’ season opener, and BOTH JV AND VARSITY came home with a 4–1 victory!
JV: Freshman Kayson Mendenhall had himself a GAME, scoring a hat trick to start off the season! That’s 3 goals in one game! He was assisted by Alex Cabrera, Amir Amir, and Ezekiel Moreno! 🎩⚽️⚽️⚽️ What a way to start his season! But it wasn’t just Kayson, Noah Cortez fought through a couple defenders to get a shot off into the back of the net! JV came out to play!

VARSITY: Varsity wanted in on all the fun as well. Senior Daniel Reyes got things started with the opening goal, assisted by Anderson Trice. Then came a true team effort for goal #2, with Andersen Trice finding the back of the net off an assist from Andreas. John AlShoufani got goal #3 off a through ball from Julian Media! And rounding off the scoring comes Julian with a fantastic left-footed strike! And we cannot forget two back to back INCREDIBLE one-handed saves by goal keeper Joe AlShoufani! Joe played a great game in the net. Let's just say if you missed last nights games you don't want to miss anymore this year!
Two teams. Two wins. Plenty of goals to get excited about! What a great way to open the season!
