Dear Parents,

We are excited to write that we had a blast celebrating every thing summer during our last summer camp this past week. Here is a glimpse of the fun we had, along with a few candid shots. We encourage you to take a minute and look through these pictures with your child so they can tell you in their own words their favorite things About last week.

Monday: We excited to enter our rooms in our classrooms to find each one had a summer picnic in place, ice cream pretend play and our favorites a summer pool party and a had chance to walk the plank across our pretend ocean just like pirate! ARRRRGH! We also built an ocean and discovered how to make sea shell prints in Playdough! Oh what fun we had painting everything with water outside and our beach bum bear for snack hit just the right spot.

Tuesday: our celebration of every summer continued as our counselors treated us first thing on the playground with water and brushes and we excitedly spent more time painting with water! We went out earlier in the morning for ocean yoga on the turf, boy was it toasty in the warm sunshine that day! We made our very own fish out of pool noodles and ice cream cones for snack helped cool us off.

Wednesday: our questions for today were all about what sinks, floats, and can you clean seashells with toothbrushes! Each question lead to our campers to be more curious and to try new things. We were just happy no one fell in! Ms. Kris and Mrs. Giesler traded the pool, party and walking the plank so it was fun to change things up in each room and we were so surprised, Watermelon gave us a real taste for all things summer.

Thursday: Once again our last day of camp came too quickly. After meeting on the playground for recess we were happy to stay inside as things heated up outside pulling out the parachute and making up fun things to do when we tossed in a beach ball! We painted ocean bubbles on a picture of ourselves snorkeling. Overall a fantastic way to end the week!

Our week was over in a blink, it’s now time to count down to the first day of school, only 26 days away, but who is counting!

Thank you for sharing your campers with us for such a fun week frill of summer adventure!

Ms. Kris, Amy and all our little beach bums!

With our last summer camp in the books please take a minute to leave a review on our page so we can consider any ideas you have if we decide to plan them again.
(School year reviews too) 😉

We were toasty and toasty on the playground & our yoga mates this week while we gave our big muscles a work out! 💪

Does it sink? Does it float? Can seashells balance on our pool noodle boats, if so how many can we count. What happens when we blow on the sail? How long does it take to scrub a sea shell clean with a toothbrush? Can we clean or boat with a toothbrush? We had so much fun discovering the answers to these questions with our friends at camp this week. (And to our surprise nobody jumped or fell in the pool!)

We had so much fun with a bit of water, a few paint brushes and friends sharing giggles and laughs on a hot sunny day….oh the memories we are making at summer camp! ☺️

We are off to a great start celebrating everything summer at camp this week! ☀️
