Would you consider sharing 90 minutes of your Wednesday to make a big difference? 🙏

Saints Alive is our Wednesday after-school program (2:00–4:30pm) serving 70+ students from multiple churches — and we need volunteers! You don’t have to commit every week or the whole time. Our flexible shifts support activities, lessons, snacks, and creating a safe, encouraging adult presence for kids.

Deb Bachman, Director of Faith Formation, coordinates lessons; Cassie Hales, Ministry Coordinator, prepares snacks and materials. Volunteers simply offer support and positive role modeling. 💛

Could you help us keep this vital ministry going? Please reach out to Deb or Cassie for more info — and share this post to spread the word! ✨

Worship: Tenth Sunday after Pentecost

In today’s first reading God invites all who are hungry or thirsty to receive food and drink without cost. Jesus feeds the hungry multitude and reveals the abundance of God. At the eucharistic table we remember all who are hungry or poor in our world today. As we share the bread of life, we are sent forth to give ourselves away as bread for the hungry.

📖Texts: Isaiah 55:1-5, Romans 9:1-5, and Matthew 14:13-21.

📻The radio broadcast is sponsored by Velda Dreesman in memory of Dick Dreesman.

💐Altar flowers are given by Pastor Patricia Shaw in honor of our members in care centers, hospitals, and "at home."

🙏If you know of someone who needs our prayers, consider taking a prayer shawl to them. This is a physical reminder of the love of God and of the community's love for them. There are prayer shawls available between the east entrance to the Narthex and the Anderson Chapel. There are also some in the Narthex next to the entrance to the Sanctuary. When you take a prayer shawl to someone, fill out the attached card and leave it in the prayer box next to the display. This helps us know who has received a shawl, as well as who has not. Everyone is welcome to take a shawl to anyone in need of our prayers.

🧶If you are wondering what to do with your parents' or grandparents' stash of yarn, consider donating it to the St. Paul's Prayer Shawl Ministry. Drop the yarn off in the church office or in the Usher's room off the sanctuary. All donations are welcome. Thanks. 💚
