In the past, I have received donations to purchase my students reasonably priced books through Scholastic. Thanks to our generous donors, my students have been excited to receive their monthly books. For this school year, I have started a campaign through Scholastic Book Clubs. If you would like to donate to this cause, here is the information. To all past and future donors, we thank you!

I am excited about this campaign! I hope to raise enough funds to purchase a book for each of my Kindergarten students each month throughout the school year. Each year I create a scrapbook of kids' work and photos from events throughout the year and gift it to the kids on or near the last day of school. These books are a ton of work with hours and hours put in by not only myself, but others who have helped me throughout the year. Whether they helped sort, glue, laminate, etc., the help is so appreciated. All of the hours are well worth it when I watch the kids go through their books and remember all of the fun things we did throughout the year. These kids were a great group. I miss them already. ❤️ They're on to 2nd grade and I'm on to kindergarten.

Wow! What a week last week! Lots of fun had by first graders during the last week of school. We took pictures with our published books and had a publishing party, we walked to the park and had Popsicles, we practiced spelling our tricky words in shaving cream and more! Here's a few pictures from all the fun. Parents, feel free to save and print any photos from our page to add to your child's scrapbook that they brought home on the last day.

Tomorrow is Work Out Wednesday! We will be working out with a good book! Kids are invited to wear their workout gear and bring a favorite book!
