Another fun filled day of service and leadership learning Wartburg College LSS 2023. These young leaders helped with a summer feeding program , learned about and built their team through FUN.

Did you know all of our ID315: Leadership Theories and Practices students are involved in a community project? One of those projects is working with Retrieving Freedom Iowa. Our students had the chance to go on site last week and learn more about the organization as they prepare to begin helping continue the dogs’ socialization process. These dogs will eventually support children with autism or veterans with PTSD. Wartburg College

Last weekend was a great opportunity for our next cohort of MA in Leadership students to learn with each other and from the many Wartburg faculty and staff who support the program. We have such a great group of students and look forward to learning from them. Did you know this year we will have 24 students between the two cohorts a part of the Master of Arts in Leadership? Well, the Leadership and Service Summit (LSS) has come to a successful end. 👏🎉💯These amazing high school student leaders presented their intended senior service projects and WOWed all of us in the audience. We hope to see them again and that they consider being a Knight. 😀Shout out to and Nancy Zebedayo for being my DREAM Mentors!! 😍🏆

One of the greatest gifts you can give is your time. Service work isn't glamorous, but it is soooo important and appreciated. Leadership and Service Summit students and Mentors gave their time today by pulling weeds at Bartels Retirement Community in Waverly - not glamorous, but certainly appreciated. 👏💯😀 🧡🖤

Sailor Hinegardner is a fourth year student at Wartburg College majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in management and minors in leadership and graphic design with a coaching endorsement. She first became involved in LSS as a mentee her junior year of high school. Her project included a faith based youth program in her home town.

She loved it so much that she became a mentor in LSS and absolutely loved guiding students on their leadership journey.

Jaderial Staebler is from Guttenberg, IA. She is currently working towards her Master of Arts in Leadership at Wartburg! Leadership has always played a large role in her life. During her undergrad, she was an LSS mentor, and she encourages high school juniors to take advantage of the opportunity to attend LSS at Wartburg!

We are excited to share some exciting changes to the MA in Leadership! We will be moving our next cohort launch to fall 2022, allowing our next group of students to begin their program on Wartburg's new Learning Management System, Canvas! We have also increased our Leadership Alumni Scholarship for Wartburg alumni to 20%, acknowledging the many ways that our alumni give back to our campus.
