And today is one month from Day 2 of the Tosa Green Summit, Sept. 26. This is our household hazardous waste collection (led by MMSD) conducted at the Tosa Public Works yard from 8 am to 2 pm (enter at Watertown Plank and 113th St). Open to Milwaukee County residents only. Among the items collected:

- Batteries but only button, Lithium Ion, rechargeable and resusable
- Light Bulbs, but only compact fluorescent, fluorescent tubes, LED, holiday string lights and energy efficient bulbs
- Propane cylinders (1 lb and 20 lb), such as those used for camping stoves

Exactly 1 month from today, Sept. 19, is day 1 of the 16th annual Tosa Green Summit. Please come to Wauwatosa City Hall at 76th and North and partake in:

Donate your used bike to Dream Bikes, a Tosa Green Summit long time partner. On Sunday, June 28 at the Café Hollander Tosa Village Classic, Dream Bikes will be on-site collecting your used bikes. Dream Bikes refurbishes donated bikes and sells them at affordable prices, all while training local teens in bike mechanics and teaching life skills.
