Congratulations to all of our artists on a fabulous show! We hope our friends and families enjoyed the evening. We are certainly proud of you all. A few special shout outs: The TW Jazz Band was fabulous 🎶✨and enhanced the festive mood of the evening. Thank you, musicians! NAHS students spoiled us all with a colorful spread of treats. Thank you, NAHS members! And thank you to all of the friends and family who came to show support❤️🎨🖌️

Tonight is the night! Students and teachers are furiously working on the last minute touches to get the annual Tosa West Art Show for YOU! We will see you in the library between 5:30-7pm!

🥁🥁🥁 The Annual Art Foundations Capstone Piece:
The Color Portrait! These photos showcase the first steps in what will be a beautiful final product. Students are showing off a whole year of growth in observing and drawing what they see with accuracy and detail. They pay attention to nuanced changes in value and color as they patiently layer colored pencil over a monochromatic watercolor underpainting. The hard work will be worth it! You’ve got this, artists !!!

Our NAHS members had to do a project combining art and service! Felix & Calvin went all in by cleaning up trash Tosa Village and transforming what they found into something creative. Take a look at what they made! 👀✨

Writing for Publication stopped by Ceramics II on Friday to interview students and snap some photos 📸✍️ Always fun seeing our class featured and sharing what we’ve been creating in the studio! 🎨

Art Foundations students spent the past few weeks exploring color theory, and their final project was a still life with two small objects 🎨 Through careful layering and color mixing, they built accurate colors and values. Check out these great examples by Emeri, Judy, Lole, Mandy, Nikki, and Scarlett! 👏✨

NAHS had the wonderful opportunity to create and hang hats, ribbons, and sequins for our Trojan players upcoming show Hello Dolly! Come see the show and witness the artistry within the lobby! See you there!
