Juneteenth, celebrated on June 19, commemorates the emancipation of those who were enslaved, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Today, we recognize and celebrate this important day of freedom and reflection. We honor its significance and the importance of learning from our shared history.

The first few days of camp have been filled with smiles, laughter, and new friendships!

Our campers have jumped right into the fun, getting to know one another through games, activities, and shared adventures. From making new friends to creating lasting memories, it has been wonderful to watch our camp community grow already.

Even with the rainy weather, our campers have stayed engaged and entertained thanks to our boredom buster kits, which have helped keep the fun going all day long!

We can't wait to see what the rest of the summer has in store for our campers at West Suburban! ☀️🎉

"Best Field Trip Ever!" 🎉

90 students from Milwaukee German Immersion School joined us for our Safety Around Water program in May and had an amazing time! They acquired vital water skills that help reduce the risk of drowning such as basic swim skills, survival techniques, and what to do if someone need help.

Thank you to MGIS for partnering with us to provide students a chance to enjoy and gain confidence in the water! 🏊‍♂️
