Jonah is the next Minor Prophet we'll be tackling. If you haven't yet, it might be a good time to read through Jonah in preparation for this Sunday!
If you'd like to listen rather than read Jonah on your way to work, here's a link to the "Bible Gateway Audio Bible" of Jonah. Listening to the whole book takes only 7 minutes.

If you want to dig deep into Jonah or want to have a summary of the deeper details, this video by The Bible Project on YouTube is helpful. It is not made by the Wisconsin Synod, and Pastor thinks it misses a few things, but overall it's a great summary. It's 9 minutes long.

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness" says 2 Timothy 3:16 ... even the Twelve Minor Prophets. Stay blessed and see you Sunday!

READING OR LISTENING TO THE PROPHETS!
If you've been keeping up with us, you know that this summer we're departing from our normal Bible readings. Instead, we'll be meditating on a Minor Prophet each Sunday all the way through August. This will prepare us to study parts of the Major Prophets along with Revelation in our fall Bible Study.
These are people you've heard of, like Jonah, but also books you've probably never read in your life. As part of this, Pastor is inviting you to read through the entire book the week before the service. This Sunday, we're starting with Amos.
If you'd like to listen rather than read Amos, here's a link to the "Bible Gateway Audio Bible" of Amos. Listening to the whole book takes about 25 minutes.

If you want some background before you read or to understand after you read, this video by The Bible Project on YouTube is helpful. It is not made by the Wisconsin Synod, and Pastor thinks it misses a few things, but overall it's a great summary. It's about 7 minutes long.

We've officially kicked off summer!!☀️💐🏎️🍋🧁🏰

We’re getting excited for our Summer Kickoff Festival THIS SUNDAY at 9:30 AM!
As part of the Festival, we’re going to have a slightly different parking situation. The food tent is set up at the end of the parking lot near the doors. So, we’re going to convert our slanted parking into perpendicular parking. We’ll have people helping park to make sure it’s safe.
If you can make the walk, you can park by the cul de sac on 5th Avenue, or we got permission to park in Kolbe & Kolbe’s lot down the road. If you need to be close or dropped off, pull up into the carport, drop the person off, then back out.
Let’s bring the neighborhood together for good food, good fun, and time with our good God! See you Sunday!

We had an amazing Confirmation Sunday! Confirmation is a tradition that isn’t commanded in the Bible. Most Lutherans have kept confirmation as the start of a young person taking personal responsibility for their faith, including examining themselves before taking Holy Communion. Pray for these confirmands and their families as they prepare to serve God because of all he’s done for them!
