Scholarship Season!!💰I have had students win this at the local and district level, so take the opportunity to apply!

The Wausau Noon Optimists are now accepting applications for the Optimists Oratorical Contest. Students must be 19 years old or under (no minimum age).

The topic for this 4–5-minute speech is:
“The Moment I Realized I Belonged—My Definition of Community”.

Prizes:
Club Level: Cash, $300, $200, $100 for first, second and third place.
District Level: Scholarships, $2,500, $1,500, $1,000 for first, second and third place.
World Championships: Scholarships, $15,000, $10,000, $5,000 for first, second and third place.

Speeches must be presented for judging on Saturday, March 7th at 10:00 a.m. Judging will be held at the Northstar Restoration Services, 4900 Stewart Avenue, Wausau, WI 54401

An application only must be submitted no later than midnight, Saturday, February 28, 2026.
