Don't forget about Thursday! We are meeting at Sunny Vale Park (1000 South 72nd Avenue, Wausau). Bring your own picnic lunch along with picnic blanket or chairs for by the beach. Reconnect with WAHE friends and make new connections. This is a perfect time for any families who are interested in WAHE but not yet members to come and find out who we are!

A few board member families will intentionally be available from 11am-1pm, but feel free to come when you can and stay all day.

In the event of rain, we will instead be in the youth room and the gym of Immanuel Baptist Church, 152111 Tulip Lane, Wausau. Watch Facebook and/or our website for a weather update if needed.

The Lake DuBay event on Wednesday, July 1 is cancelled due to blue-green algae blooming in this lake. Today, Portage County Health issued a warning to stay away from the water there. This follows DNR and WI Department of Health standards as well.

Cyanobacteria, also known as blue-green algae, has been found at Mead Park, Bukolt Park, and Lake Dubay, officials said Friday.

Everyone is welcome to join us this summer for informal gatherings around the area! Come and learn more about WAHE from board members, grow relationships, talk about homeschooling, and enjoy time together!

Please note there are no rain locations EXCEPT for August 27th as that will be our member kick off and orientation date and there is an indoor backup location so the event will be held rain or shine!
