When the booth in the corner has a 360 degree video platform, and you have an orca skull, one must absolutely give themself permission to act like a total dork and have fun.
This was at the AWSA elementary principal convention this past Thursday.
I also got to hang out with The Mammoth Hunter for the day, which is always entertaining.

Collaboration: when two or more organizations work together toward something bigger. Today in Crandon, the Forest County Potawatomi tribe opened their doors and invited their community and neighboring schools to come meet a whale.

And it was amazing. We joined forces to teach kids something wonderful about this planet and the remarkable animals that share it with us.

Days like this are why I do this.

The chance that I would ever meet the real Neil deGrasse Tyson is slim to none.
Even if I did, I don't think I would ask for an autograph for fear of being rude.
So I went ahead and did the next coolest thing, and bought an autographed copy of his book, "Starry Messenger."

We have had some fun moments over the past few weeks. I bumped into a few people whom I haven't seen in almost 20 years. I drove through towns I've never heard of to get to my destination. I've explored parts of this state that most others don't, and met some amazing people along the way.

I want to thank Katie from the Middleton Public Library, and Rachel from the Oconto Falls Community Library for trusting us to bring something unique to your hometown.

In Middleton, I spotted someone I hadn't seen since a mission trip to St. Lucia in 2007. In Oconto Falls, a face from a college dorm hall twenty years ago.
