Before taking flight, all freshmen students successfully completed the FAA TRUST (The Recreational UAS Safety Test). They learned essential safety skills and then experienced the excitement of seeing the world from a whole new perspective through drones!

As part of our Intro to APT course, students learn some basic aspects of auto maintenance. This is a great way for students to learn about responsible stewardship of a vehicle. Today we want to thank one of our supporters who got our APT Lab set up with a great set of tools and equipment to teach students how to do oil changes, check tire pressure and tread depth, and rotate tires.

What did YOU do this past weekend? On Friday, the Central Wisconsin Christian Steel Shoe-saders went to FiservForum for the Mama Tried’s Flat Out Friday races to watch alumni Levi VanderGalien and Wyatt Guse ride the bike from the 2025 season and the #7 bike from the 2024 season to 1st and 2nd places respectively in the BUILD class. It was a great night for the team and we’re thankful to be building a tradition of excellence. What did YOU do this past weekend? It was a great night for the team and we're excited to be building a tradition of excellence.

On Thursday, 11 Central Wisconsin Christian students in Welding and Metals were given the opportunity to learn about the great work and varied opportunities at McNeilus Steel, Inc., Spark Ops Metalworks, and Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. as part of our involvement with Envision Greater Fond du Lac's Project GRILL.

The Central Wisconsin Christian APT Lab was designed to be a flexible space that could accommodate growth and change as the new needs were identified and met. Part of that process includes making changes and upgrades to the physical space.
Today we're thankful for supporters who helped us add electrical outlets in areas that will make spaces more useful and safe.

You can never have too many clamps! The tools we received from the CHANNELLOCK® Trade School Trade Up grant in 2024 continue to be a blessing to the Central Wisconsin Christian AgProTech program on a regular basis. Having a well-equipped lab helps us give our students the best education possible.

For the 4th year in a row, 12 students from the Central Wisconsin Christian Small Engines class participated in the John Deere "Gator Wars at Ballweg Implement Co., Inc.. Of the three teams from CWC, the team made up of Seniors Abram Lange, Asher Loomans, Jacob Martens, and Liam Wellach took 2nd place overall out of 12 teams total! Congratulations!
Teams competed in identifying engine parts, shimming an auger gearcase, adjusting valve clearance, and diagnosing electrical issues in a wiring harness.
Students also learned about careers and opportunities as technicians on turf and ag equipment, service reps, sales, and other roles in the industry.

The Steel Shoe-saders are having a great time at the Harley-Davidson museum with the 7R bike on display as part of the Build Moto Mentor Program.

Safety and flexibility are two priorities in the Central Wisconsin Christian APT Lab. With these priorities in mind, students in our Metals and Manufacturing class built this cylinder cage and lathe pallet to make it safer and easier to move equipment where needed. Thank you to Out Of The Blue Finishing Solutions for powder coating these projects in a sharp coat of safety yellow!
