Thanks everyone for the support! Election results are in and while I took 2nd place, I'm grateful for every vote I received! And since there are 3 open seats and 3 candidates we all get in anyway :) Looking forward to continuing to serve!

Vote Molly McDonald for Waupaca School Board April 4th!

For those that aren’t aware, I was appointed to the school board last summer after the resignation of one of the existing members. There was an application process, interviews by the board, followed by a vote, and I was selected. To keep my place on the board I must become officially elected by the public this election cycle and I would greatly appreciate your vote!

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time on the board so far and I believe we have a fantastic mix of voices and experiences who truly work together.

I am the voice of the everyday parent with kids actively enrolled and participating in many activities. I understand that not all kids have the same interests, abilities, or goals after school and we must make sure we provide ample opportunities, resources, and options for ALL students. Because I’m a parent, I also have exposure to what’s truly happening from the kids’ and parents’ perspective in the district and want to ensure there is open dialogue, transparency, and respect is shared between the families and the administrators and staff.

Last, but not least, I believe my almost 20 years of experience in the business world as an Operations & Quality Executive have given me a great perspective on how to make sure I am an advocate for fiscal responsibility, adherence to policy, and general accountability for tax payer dollars, as this is a major goal of mine.
