Education Enthusiast: Ms.Voeller V earned her degrees in Elementary Education and Communication Studies at Marquette University, plus DOUBLE master’s degrees in Educational Leadership and Curriculum & Instruction from Cardinal Stritch University! 🎓📚

Teaching & Coaching Journey: Ms. Voeller kicked off her career in the Milwaukee area creating strong, loving classroom communities. After moving to Madison, she expanded her impact through instructional coaching, professional learning design, and supporting gifted and talented education! 💡🌱

Family & Adventure: Away from school, Ms. Voeller and her husband, are raising two energetic sons, Fritz and W***y. They love traveling and discovering new real-world learning adventures together! ✈️🌍👨‍👩‍👦‍👦

Join us! 🔔✂️💙 Bell Ringing Tradition + Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

Join us for our 30th Bell Ringing ceremony, a time-honored MCDS tradition that signifies a fresh start and welcome to the new school year.

We invite parents and all community members to join us on Monday, August 24 at 8:30 a.m. outside the new Fieldhouse, near the West Campus/Lower School main entrance.

Join us as the band performs, Rocky leads the cheers, and our newest staffulty members help ring the opening bell to kick off the first day of school and our 30th year!

After the ceremony, please join us for a casual community coffee in the Learning Commons, in the West Campus LS entrance. Should rain move us indoors, all activities will take place in the gym. We will send a morning notification if weather requires any changes.

Don't forget to tag us in your first day of school photos!

Help us celebrate a phenomenal athletic milestone! ⚽️✨ Kiran '31 has officially been selected to the U14 US Youth Futsal National Team! 🇺🇸🔥

Out of countless talented athletes across the country, Kiran earned her spot after putting on a masterclass performance this past July at the US Youth Futsal tryouts in Virginia. 🧤⚡️ Now, she stands as one of only 12 elite players in the entire nation named to this roster, and she will be holding it down between the posts as the team's star goalkeeper! 🧱🔒

This December, Kiran will be packing her bags and heading to Lisbon, Portugal to represent the United States on the international stage! 🇵🇹✈️

While game schedules and the official USA kit are still incoming, we’ve got a look at Kiran in action with her local club team! 📸⚡️

We are beyond excited for Kiran as she takes this monumental step in her soccer career. Let's hear it for our National Team goalkeeper! 🎉👏🇺🇸

This summer our rising 5th graders who selected orchestra as their middle school ensemble were excited to participate in the Beginning Strings Workshop! Students had a blast connecting with their new music community while learning basic left hand and bow technique, all about their instrument, as well as listening to performances of their teachers (Ms. Dolphin and Dr. Waldo).
The enthusiastic students even performed their very first string piece for family members at the end of the session. Bravo students! 🎻👏

Congrats to Ranvir '28 who is having an exciting summer representing MCDS at two prestigious summer events! 🌟 In June, Ranvir attended the Wisconsin Leadership Seminar (WILS), an opportunity offered to just 0.3% of students across the state, where he joined over 200 student leaders in workshops, service, and discussions focused on leadership, responsibility, and decision-making. 🤝 As an inquirer and reflective thinker, he embraced WILS's emphasis on giving back, open discussion, building confidence, purpose, and learning from peers with diverse perspectives. Ranvir will be bringing back new insights to share with our MCDS community as a caring communicator and will continue his involvement through the WILS alumni community. 🌐 Ranvir also traveled to San Antonio, Texas, for the FBLA National Leadership Conference, competing among thousands of students nationwide in the Intro to FBLA event to demonstrate his knowledge of the organization’s mission, history, and impact. 🏆 Ranvir has done a tremendous job embracing our MCDS IB Profile traits as an open-minded and risk taker! At the conference, Ranvir connected with peers across the country, learned from industry leaders, and gained real-world skills in professionalism, public speaking, and confidence. 👏 We couldn’t be more proud to see him represent our community on such big stages!

Mr. Dizdar naturally embodies the IB philosophy of cultivating reflective, open-minded, and globally engaged thinkers by bringing a vibrant blend of scholarly inquiry and creative perspective. Outside the classroom, Mr. Dizdar captures the world through a camera lens as an accomplished photographer, a creative discipline that mirrors historical thinking through its focus on perspective, detail, and narrative framing.
