Shout out to Waukesha South High School for inviting us to lead a breakout session at last night's Post-Secondary Planning Night! What a great and well attended event. We were grateful to be asked to be there and happy to share more about the hot topic "Scholarships & Senioritis" Thanks for having us and great job to the Student Services team at South for organizing this!

A great partner doing great things. Thank you Generac!

This summer, the Department of Public Instruction established a new STEAM teacher extern program where teachers would be able to work full-time for seven weeks in a local business, get paid, and have time to work on lessons that incorporate their new workplace learning.

After applying through the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and interviewing with Generac, Bryce Warner was selected as one of only three educators in the state to participate in the inaugural year of this program. Throughout the seven-week program, Bryce went through a new rotation: engines, engineering, industrial design, sustainability, and operations were the focuses.

Through this externship, Mr. Warner gained hands-on industry experience at Generac and will bring back valuable knowledge and skills to enhance learning experiences in the classroom at Waukesha West and the district technology education department.

This was an exciting professional development opportunity to represent our district while strengthening connections with local industry partners. Special thanks to Generac for their continued support of the School District of Waukesha.
