Oh, the classics.

So it's time to start talking about the AllWriters' Workplace & Workshop LLC 2026 Annual Retreat, because we only have a few spots left!
This will be the retreat's 19th year. We didn't meet the first year of existence, and we didn't meet in 2020 for obvious reasons. In this retreat, you work on projects you've already started, and you also generate new pages. You are fully immersed for 4 days in the writing life, surrounded by others who are immersed with you.
The retreat runs from July 16 - 19, and it's held at Mount Mary University in Wauwatosa. Everyone has their own dorm room, AND their own bathroom! We have a small kitchen, a workshop room, and a lounge.
On the 16th, we start at 7:00 with a lecture by yours truly (Kathie Giorgio). I haven't decided on the topic yet...I might let it be a surprise! On Friday, the 17th, you will be writing all day, and having one on one consultations with me. In the evening, we'll meet for our first workshop, where the work you handed in ahead of time will be discussed. Then on Saturday, the 18th, you will again be writing all day, and having one on one consultations with me, plus we'll take a break in the middle of the afternoon for a reading by me, and by AllWriters' faculty, Carrie Newberry and Ross Hightower. It's your chance to see just who it is you're working with! Saturday evening, we will workshop again. On the 19th, Saturday, we will workshop one more time, have lunch, take part in a lift-off Q & A session, and then you're out the door by 2:00.
For food, on Thursday night, you're on your own for dinner. There are many restaurants and a mall food court close by. Those of you who are from further away and without a car, you'll hitch a ride with someone who does! On Friday, we will have a pizza dinner delivered. On Saturday, we'll have an indoor picnic. You supply your breakfast and lunch - every dorm room has a dorm-sized fridge and a microwave, plus we have the kitchen. I will be providing the coffee, tea, soda, and bottled water.
There is time as well for group socialization. You'll be amazed what we get into.
It is my absolute favorite weekend of the year. The students come from all over the US, and sometimes, even out of the country.
The cost for all of this? An amazing $450.
Now pages for the event have to be handed in by June 26, so you have time to read everyone's work. So you need to think fast. You don't have to pay until the day of, but you do have to commit. Here's all the info. Click on Retreat.
