D.R.I.V.E. Program

On Monday, May 19th, 2025, 30 5th graders from St. Charles, Hartland graduated the D.R.I.V.E. Program and became class #13. Each student received their D.R.I.V.E.r's license and key 🔑 (note: this didn't give them legal driving status lol)
The key represents that they are in the driver's seat of their life and they have learned skills not to make a wrong turn.🚫 🚔🇺🇸🎓 (pictures to come later)

D.R.I.V.E. Lesson #8 Strategies to deal with disagreements, conflict and violence.
Next class will be D.R.I.V.E. graduation.🎉

D.R.I.V.E. Lesson #7 the students learned about Stress, stressors and self-esteem..For part of the lesson the students learned how our self-esteem can be affected by every day situations by Bob the Beach Ball. (the air in the Beach Ball represented self-esteem) each student received their own Bob to take home. 🔴🟡⚪️🔵

D.R.I.V.E. Class #6. Peer Pressure - students learned the 8 Speeds to saying "No" to offers to use drugs and preventing them from making the wrong decisions.
The 5th graders became members of a SWAT team (swatting the correct way to say "no" to different scenarios with a fly swatter)

Today in lesson #5, the students learned the difference between commercials and PSAs and how to be good consumers. The 5th graders made their own PSA on the dangers of drug use and how to stay safe.

D.R.I.V.E. Lesson #1 starts today. 31 students will get their D.R.I.V.E. learners permit 🙂
