So great to see so many of (hundreds!) you in the Library and on campus during Corby's Last Roar on May 22nd! Many wonderful memories that we will post images of the event in the coming days.

The Waukesha campus may be closing down in July but faculty-student research is still alive and well at the thanks to the efforts of Anthropology professors Gregg Jamison and Chris Hays. The 2025 UWM at Waukesha Anthropology Day was a rousing success with nearly 40 volunteers on site last Saturday for a day of digging and artifact sorting near what is believed to be one of the original 1840s-era farm buildings on the property. Thanks to Dr. Jamison and his team for continuing this important work in Waukesha County. UWM at Waukesha Field Station. Waukesha County Land Conservancy

Congratulations to UWM at Waukesha students Morgan Duke, Sage Schmidt, and Jadon Thornton for being accepted into the 2025 UW System Research in the Rotunda program and presenting at the Capitol Rotunda today. We're proud of your work and how well you represent our campus. Many thanks to Kyla Esguerra and the great team at the Office of Undergraduate Research for their support of students at the Waukesha campus. UW-Milwaukee - Undergraduate Research

Every now and then we find a real gem tucked away in our collections. Someone left this late (60s/early 70s-era?) family photo in a book on Native American history. Hoping one of the campus's 3,000+ followers will know who this belongs to! UWM at Waukesha

The sight of sunlight pouring into the Library before we open never gets old. The sun is actually rising 3 minutes later than it was on the Solstice but it's setting 9 minutes later than it was on December 21st -- a net six minute gain in daylight! At our latitude, the sun begins to rise earlier in the morning starting on January 6th. UWM at Waukesha

Need a study break? Feed your mind in the Library! We've got tons of snacks for students (and faculty/staff) in the Library all week. Items with good calories and others that are less so are included.

Grateful to have noted psychotherapist Philip Chard at the UWM at Waukesha campus today talking about something that we could all use a bit more of - happiness. The Library has a copy of his latest book, "Nature's ways: experiencing the sacred in the natural world" available for checkout (Hint: engaging with nature is shown to positively impact your day-to-day mood as well as overall life satisfaction).

While it may be a mess outside, it's nice and warm in the Library. Today is Research & Donut Day so any UWM at Waukesha student wanting writing or research help with a paper, project, speech, or anything else should come to the Library. There are Writing Specialists, Librarians, and Cranky Al's donuts here to get you through the day.

With a few exceptions, UWM at Waukesha students are night owls. Given that we close at 7 pm, this seems like an excellent opportunity to shamelessly promote our 24/7 Ask-A-Librarian service - https://uwm.libanswers.com/

A couple of images from the final Veteran's Day event at the UWM at Waukesha campus. We were pleased to welcome so many former student vets into the Library throughout the day. Thank you for your service to our country!
