Hello LPMS Band Families,

Final reminder: Today is our Butter Braid fundraiser pick up. If your child sold butter braids for this fundraiser, your order can be picked up between 2:30 and 6:30 this afternoon/evening at the LPMS Cafeteria. We should have everything sorted by the end of the school day, so it would be possible for your child to grab their order right after school if that works for them/you.

This message is for the families of any 8th Grader who will be doing Marching Band at West this fall.

We know that you already have the Marching Band Mini-Camp on your calendar for this Sunday, but here is a final reminder that Mrs. Granzow asked that we pass along.

"Sunday is Marching Band Mini Camp at West! All percussionists, color guard, and any new marching member needs to arrive by 1:30 pm. Please make sure to bring your music (percussion only), instrument, comfortable shoes for marching, water, sunscreen, and a pencil! Afterwards, there will be an all family meeting from 5:30-6:15 pm in the auditorium.

If you cannot make it for whatever reason, please contact me at [email protected] as soon as possible.

Woodwinds and brass students will receive copies of their music at the Mini Camp on Sunday. Only percussionists will have music that they need to bring on Sunday.

Have an amazing time at Mini-Camp this Sunday. You will have such a rewarding experience being a part of the Marching Band this coming year!

LPMS 7th & 8th Grade Band Families:

Important information about the Beyond the Notes Music Festival at the Kalahari in the Dells has been sent home via Infinite Campus messenger and email. Please read carefully. There is a google form that we need ALL LPMS 7th & 8th Grade Band members to fill out by this Wednesday, April 13th.

LPMS Band Families (and any community members who love pasta, music, and supporting music student), please remember to make sure and get your order forms for Spaghetti Supper Club tickets in by Tuesday this week!

We are including the order form in this post. Please note that it is NOT an online order form. If you are not able to print a copy, please message us (or email Mr. Gornick) with your ticket order information so that the correct number of tickets can be printed.

The event will take place this Thursday, April 7th in the Waukesha West HS Cafeteria. Doors open at 5:45, and we will serve from 6:00 until roughly 7:30 pm.

You will have the chance to hear the LPMS Woodwind Ensemble, LPMS Jazz Ensemble, West HS Morning Jazz, and West HS Jazz Ensemble 1.

Congratulations to all of the LPMS Band students who performed at the WSMA District Solo Ensemble Festival at Waukesha West HS on Saturday

LPMS Band students earned thirty-four I (one) ratings, and six II (two) ratings.

WSMA describes these ratings in the following way:

I - A consistently outstanding performance in all areas.

II - A very good performance with only minor issues.

Well done LPMS Band members! And more important than the scores is how much you grew as musicians and as people because of the work that you put into this long term project.

Keep making music, and keep working hard! We can't wait to see where all of you are as musicians at this time next year.

Solo-Ensemble Performers:

Have GREAT performances today! You have done the work, now enjoy sharing the final product of your efforts!

LPMS Band Families - Please consider volunteering and working a shift at the Solo Ensemble Festival this Saturday at West HS.

WSMA District Solo and Ensemble This Saturday at Waukesha West High School | Waukesha West Bands Waukesha West High School hosts the WSMA District Solo and Ensemble this Saturday, April 2nd, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Hundreds of students from several area schools will be participating.

8th Grade Band Families,

Please make sure to check your email and Infinite Campus messenger for important information from Mrs. Granzow about the Waukesha West HS Mini-Camp for Marching Band on May 1st!

LPMS Band Families - Mark the Date!

The Spaghetti Supper Club Dinner & Concert will return on Thursday, April 7th this year!!!

Keep your dinner plans open so that you can come out and enjoy a great meal and music while supporting the LPMS Band Program.

Doors will open at 5:45 PM and dinner will be served between 6:00 and 7:30 PM.

Music by our amazing students will begin at 6:00 PM. You will have the opportunity to hear the LPMS Cardinal Woodwind Ensemble, the LPMS Cardinal Jazz Ensemble, and the West HS Morning Jazz and Jazz Ensemble 1.

Ticket order forms will be sent home with all LPMS Band students by the end of the this week.
