Mr. Matenaer's Health Academy students are off to a great start in his Project Lead The Way - Human Body Systems course! Students are getting hands-on experience as they work with manikins to explore the human body and apply what they’re learning in class!

AVID Day is a nationwide celebration of possibility, progress, and the power of shared commitment to student success. It recognizes the educators, students, and communities working together to expand opportunity and help students reach their full potential.

We’re so proud of the growth we see in our AVID students every day here at South, and we’re grateful for the teachers, families, and community members who support them along the way! 👏🎉

All week, we randomly selected classes with perfect attendance. Each selected class earned a special prize delivered right to their classroom!

🎓 SAVE THE DATE 🎓

We invite all students in grades 9-12 and their families to join us for our upcoming Postsecondary Planning Night!

📅 Date: September 23rd, 2026
⏰ Time: 5:30 - 7:30 PM
📍 Location: Waukesha South High School Auditorium

Whether your student is just beginning to explore their options or already has a plan for life after high school, this evening will provide valuable information and resources to help them take their next steps.

Families can choose from a variety of sessions focused on topics such as college planning, postsecondary opportunities, taking college courses while in high school, scholarships and financial resources, and more. There will also be opportunities to ask questions and learn from other families and professionals.
