📚💙 **Introducing Our New Population Health Course!** 💙📚

We are excited to launch our new **Population Health** course at Carroll University! 🩺🌎

This course takes nursing beyond the individual patient and explores the health of communities, health disparities, social determinants of health, and the many factors that influence the well-being of populations.

One of the highlights of the course is our weekly **Book Club!** 📖✨

Students are reading *The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks* by Rebecca Skloot, diving into Henrietta’s story and engaging in meaningful conversations about ethics, healthcare, research, health equity, and the impact of healthcare on individuals and communities.

Through reading, reflection, and discussion, students are developing a deeper understanding of what it means to care for the health of an entire population.

We are so excited to see our students learning, asking questions, and connecting the story to their future roles as nurses! 💙

Join us for **CCS 300: Exploring Finland: Nordic Models of Health, Nature and Community – Spring 2027!**

Discover why Finland is one of the happiest countries on earth through immersive experiences focused on:

💙 **Health:** Explore Helsinki, visit the Oodi Library, Helsinki Cathedral, Löyly Sauna, and healthcare sites.

🌲 **Nature:** Experience Nuuksio National Park, boreal forests, wildlife, and Finland’s beautiful natural landscapes.

🤝 **Community:** Visit Santa Claus Village, take a reindeer farm tour, enjoy a bonfire, and experience the culture of Rovaniemi.

Join SNA in making a difference and showing support for individuals and families affected by ALS. Together, we can be part of a 1,000-person movement honoring those impacted by this disease.

🧡💙 **The LAST “first” day of senior year community clinical!** 💙🧡

Our senior nursing students embarked on their final first day of community clinical! What a milestone as they continue their journey toward becoming compassionate, skilled, and confident nurses. 🩺

From the first day of nursing school to this exciting moment, they have grown, learned, and made memories that will last a lifetime. We are so proud of the nurses they are becoming and can’t wait to see all they accomplish in their final year!

Here’s to a year full of learning, growth, and making a difference in the lives of others. You’ve got this, seniors! 🧡💙🎓

What a fun day welcoming our newest nursing students! 🩺 So many smiling faces, new friendships, lots of excitement—and, of course, a little candy to sweeten the day! 🍬😊

Today marks the beginning of an exciting journey filled with learning, growth, friendship, and plenty of memories along the way. We’re so excited to welcome these future nurses to the Carroll family! 🩺🎓🧡💙

A wonderful start to the new academic year! We kicked things off with encouraging and appreciative remarks from our Senior Leadership Team, followed by engaging activities centered around our theme: Connect, Reconnect, Recharge. It was an inspiring and energizing way for faculty to begin the year together!
