Tryouts for girls volleyball, boys soccer, baseball, and flag football start Thursday right after school. Any player making a team should have a recent school physical on file before the first game.

If trying out, bring appropriate clothing, water, any equipment you might need, and pick up promptly at the end of the session.

Baseball - 4:00
Flag football - 4:15
Volleyball - 5:00 Thursday, 4:30 Friday
Soccer - 4:30

The first week of school means Fall Sports are starting soon! Tryouts for girls volleyball, boys soccer, baseball, and flag football start Thursday right after school. Any player making a team should have a recent school physical on file before the first game, which is two weeks away!

If trying out, bring appropriate clothing, water, any equipment you might need, and pick up promptly at the end of the session (times determined by each sport - we'll update here as soon as possible).

✅ August 11 – Sixth Grade Orientation (Recommended) 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

9:00–9:30 a.m. – Parent (optional, but recommend) and student presentation: "What to Expect as a Sixth Grader"

9:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. – Students only

✅ August 11 – Schedule Pick-Up 4:00 p.m. – 6:15 p.m
4:00–4:45 p.m. – Sixth-grade students who were unable to attend orientation

4:45–5:30 p.m. – Seventh Grade

5:30–6:15 p.m. – Eighth Grade

Join us for a day of community, resources and back-to-school support!

This year's event is a citywide collaboration between Waukegan Public Schools, Waukegan Park District, Waukegan Township and the City of Waukegan!

We're bringing together organizations and services dedicated to helping students and families prepare for a successful school year.
