Eason Elementary School Eason Elementary, part of Waukee CSD, is where students are empowered to lead, grow, and thrive. We are proud Waukee Warriors within the Waukee city limits.

Follow along to see the joy, fun, and learning that define why families . Welcome to Eason Elementary! Eason opened in 1994 and is one of eight elementary schools in the Waukee Community School District. We are located at 605 SE Boone Drive in the city of Waukee. Our school serves students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Eason is home to approximately 620 students living in the cities of Waukee and Clive. Eason Elementary places student learning and helping each child reach his or her full potential as our primary focus. Our school also offers additional support services in the areas of Reading Lab, Special Education, and Extended Learning. With our strong emphasis on meeting the needs of all students through differentiated instruction and research-based practices, the students at Eason Elementary annually outperform their peers on state and national assessments. We believe that through teaching, modeling, and practicing, Eason students will show good character by demonstrating safe, caring, respectful, and responsible behaviors. We also believe that by acknowledging and recognizing students when they demonstrate those core values, will promote continued positive behavior. There are lots of opportunities to get involved and to volunteer at Eason Elementary. We encourage you speak with your child’s teacher or visit the PTO webpage for more information.

Eason Elementary fifth graders took on Mission Moon, becoming the first school in Waukee to experience this hands-on lunar adventure! Working in crews, students flew drones to find a suitable site for a habitat, built rovers and lunar habitats, and searched for water ice. Each crew member had a role as they solved problems, tested ideas, and worked together to complete their mission. What an awesome learning experience for students across the District! 🌙

Classroom Spotlight: 2nd Grade!

During this MyView unit, our second graders read about community helpers and discussed how people work together to make their communities safe, healthy, and strong. We focused on firefighters, and students asked several questions about the services they provide to the Waukee community. We may even have a few future firefighters in our class!

A huge thank-you to the Waukee Fire Department Station 91 for helping our students learn more about the important work firefighters do. We truly appreciate your time, service, and dedication to keeping our community safe! 🚒❤️

Leadership in action: recycling team for the school year is off and running! Our 5th grade classes take turns collecting recycling from classrooms throughout the school. We’re so proud of them for taking responsibility, serving our school community, and helping care for our planet—one bin at a time! Thank you to Mrs. Ohmstede's class for taking the first round of collection! ♻️
