STATE CHAMPS! 🏆

With a team win over Johnston today, Northwest High School completed a sweep of the IGHSAU girls tennis state tournaments!

In addition to today’s team title, last week Addison Latta won the singles state title, while Riley Hilton and Alexa Perugini brought home the doubles title.

Waukee CSD has the most Math Stars of any District in the state!

Our 10 National Math Stars earned this recognition by completing a challenging, multi-stage evaluation process. Now, these talented 4th and 5th graders will receive 10 years of opportunities and support to help grow their interests in math and other STEM fields.

Addison Latta captured her second consecutive Class 2A singles state championship, while senior Riley Hilton and junior Alexa Perugini teamed up to win the doubles title. Go Wolves!

Today, third grade students at Woodland Hills released many of the monarch butterflies they've helped raise.

Woodland Hills is one of several of our elementary schools that raised butterflies this year. Students raised the butterflies starting as caterpillars.

Monarch butterflies migrate each year from throughout the United States and southern Canada all the way to central Mexico. Some of the butterflies are tagged and students will be able to check in to see if any of theirs were reported found throughout their migration!
