It was a super fun morning at Brookview Elementary School! We are thrilled to support the team at Brookview and their work to inspire a love of reading in students. Plus, taking home a new book of your own has to be one of the best ways to start a long weekend!

This is the fourth book vending machine we've funded at WCSD Elementary Schools, which puts us just under halfway to our goal. Want to learn more, get involved, or support our work? Visit waukeeschoolsfoundation.org today!

Happy first day of school, Waukee! As our students, educators, and staff at the Waukee Community School District begin another year, we'd like to wish them a great start!

We hope our students create new friendships, learn more, and know that they've got a whole community ready to support them both in and out of the classroom.

To our teachers and staff, thank you for all you do to ensure our students achieve their aspirations. You make it possible for us to do BIG things together.

Here's to a wonderful school year! 💚💜💙

What a day! Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for the 2026 Waukee Community Schools Foundation Golf Tournament, presented by Shottenkirk Waukee Chevrolet!

Our golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners, helped us celebrate our largest tournament to date!

Whether you sponsored, golfed, volunteered, donated, or purchased raffle tickets, thank you for being part of this record-setting event.

We're grateful for your partnership and the impact you make possible throughout our schools.

Proud to support the incredible students and educators of the Waukee Community School District year-round!

Join us in making an impact at waukeeschoolsfoundation.org.

Sweet story alert! Mr. Craig, one of our District shuttle drivers, got to know Woodland Hills Elementary second grader Manny through their daily rides to school. Along the way, he learned that Manny didn’t have a bike for the summer and that his family wasn't in a position to purchase one.

Wanting to help, Mr. Craig went to Principal Shumaker, who connected with the Waukee Community Schools Foundation. During the last week of school, Mr. Craig surprised Manny with a brand-new bike, helmet, and bike lock.

Thank you to Mr. Craig, the Foundation, and the Woodland Hills team for making this special moment possible! This is what community looks like. 🚲

Who’s ready for ice cream? And here’s the perfect reason!

A portion of every “Buck’s Legacy Blend” purchase goes back to WCSF.

THANK YOU to Home Sweet Cone Ice Cream for extending your generosity and impact beyond the Gala. We’re grateful for your continued partnership!

Today’s to-do list is easy: grab a scoop and support local students educators!

Now scooping: Buck’s Legacy Blend🍦

This meaningful flavor was created by the family who won our “Name a Flavor” auction at this year's Waukee Community Schools Foundation gala! They created this flavor as an ode to Dr. Brad Buck, the Waukee school district superintendent who is retiring this year. They combined his favorite things: vanilla ice cream, Reese's Peanut Butter cups and a chocolate fudge swirl! A portion of every sale will go back to WCSF to help continue making a difference in the community. 💙🤍 💛 💜

🎉 Congratulations to our Class of 2026 Scholarship Recipients! 🎉

We are beyond excited to announce the recipients of our 2026 scholarship program! Each of these outstanding students received a $2,500 scholarship to support their post-secondary goals.

Different from a traditional selection process, we don't review GPAs or resumes. Instead, we aim to reward students who are actively making a positive impact in their school and community. We're looking for students who show up and inspire change through their actions.

This year's recipients were described as leaders, passionate, civic-minded, and empathetic toward their classmates. These students exemplify the very best of what can be earned through a Waukee Community School District education. We're honored to support their next steps!

Congratulations to:
✨ C**t Schipper (Waukee High School)
✨ Abby Welch (Waukee High School)
✨ Marissa Kleitsch (Northwest High School)
✨ Sarah Wigton (Northwest High School)

Swipe through to learn more about each student's impact. 💚💜💙
