PV's FCCLA students attended the FCCLA Fall Rally in Pella, IA at Central College. It was a beautiful day full of fun food competitions and breakout sessions where they learned about charities providing clean water and prosthetic limbs for amputees, identifying and reflecting on our own leadership skills that can be utilized in our FCCLA chapter at PV, and an awesome campus tour that gave them an inside look at campus life for college students. 😊

Congratulations to the 10 Prairieview students selected for the 2026 Opus Honor Choir! 😊

Over 3,000 students were nominated by their directors for 720 positions in the four Opus Honor Choirs. Selections were made by means of a recorded audition. The 2026 Opus Honor Choirs will perform at 4:00 p.m. on November 19th at Stephens Auditorium in the Iowa State Center in Ames. The Opus Honor Choir Festival is made possible by the Iowa Choral Directors Association, Inc.

Fun Day Friday at PVS! 🎉

Another Friday, another opportunity to bring some extra fun and laughter to PVS! Our students enjoyed some Fun Day Friday excitement during lunch outside, filled with smiles, friendly competition, and plenty of laughs!

Our principals love finding creative ways to make lunchtime more than just a meal. It's about building connections, creating lasting memories, and bringing a little extra joy to our students' day!

We can't wait to see what fun they have planned next! 😊

Our 8th-period science students had plenty to celebrate after seeing their Unit 1 summative results! Their hard work paid off, and they were excited to show off what they’ve learned by volunteering to decorate the wall outside the classroom with their Bohr Models.

First Food Friday is bringing students together, one bite at a time!

Ms Hudson-Smith's brings her classroom together through food! On the first Friday of each month, students are invited to share a dish from their culture or a treat they simply love. It’s a chance to try new foods, share the stories behind their favorites, and learn more about one another. Together, they are celebrating differences, discovering what they have in common, building connections, and creating a stronger classroom community!💜💛

Help our Student Council support local families by donating new baby supplies. Donations can be dropped off in the PVS Office now through October 29.

All donations will benefit Waypoint Resources and help make a difference for families in our community.

Today we celebrate the hardworking people who keep Prairieview clean, safe, and running smoothly each and every day. So much of what you do happens behind the scenes, but the difference you make is seen and felt throughout our entire building.
