Our Waukee CSD Preschool program is where young learners grow, thrive, & lead.

Located at the Vince Meyer Learning Center in the heart of Waukee, we celebrate each child’s unique talents through joyful, age-appropriate learning experiences. The Waukee Preschool Program is a full-inclusive learning environment consisting of a combination of children with disabilities (children served through special education programming) as well as children without identified disabilities.

The countdown to the first day of school is underway! We will be hosting an Open house for families and students August 27th from 4:00-6:00 p.m., and be sure to check out our PTO Spirit Night happening at the Waukee Ice Cream Shoppe from 4:00-8:00!

All the excitement leading up to the first day of school is underway!

Our new teachers officially kicked off the 2026-27 school year with the Waukee Welcome this week. They learned more about our District, heard from the superintendent, and participated in team-building activities.

We’re excited to have them as part of our crew!

Kayla Huss isn't new to the District, but she is new to Vince Meyer Learning Center.

When she's not teaching, Mrs. Huss enjoys spending time with family and trying new crafts! Her favorite TV show is "Friends."

"I am excited to continue my career in Waukee! I am looking forward to meeting new colleagues and families this fall."

Mrs. Stockseth enjoys being outdoors, especially with their dog, Winnie! She also enjoys traveling, baking sourdough, and spending lots of quality family time.

Let's welcome Mrs. Maddisyn Hodges to the preschool team!

Mrs. Hodges is excited to be a preschool teacher for the 2026-27 school year. This will be her seventh year teaching preschool, and she's excited to join the Vince Meyer team.

Outside of school, she stays busy with her husband and their 17-month-old son. She loves to travel, spend time with relatives, and enjoy the outdoors. Some of her favorites include flavored lemonade, dark chocolate, pasta, sushi, and the colors purple and blue!
