MLPK is so excited for Speech With Mrs Chris.

Introducing Speech With Mrs Chris LLC
Christine has been a familiar face for the past 6+ years at Messiah Lutheran providing
speech services on site and looks forward to continuing her relationships with the staff
and families.
Christine Schramm M.S. CCC-SLP , is a Speech-Language Pathologist who specializes in
pediatric speech and language delays. Christine graduated with a Master of Science in
Communication Disorders and Sciences from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in
2006. After graduating, Christine worked in a skilled nursing facility for nearly 10-years
followed by the public school setting for 3-years and finally the private sector for the
past 13-years. Building relationships with her clients and families and collaborating with
teachers and staff is a true passion that drives Christine to do what she does everyday.
Approach to Therapy
Each session starts with the client choosing the activity/game and Christine then
incorporates the individualized speech/language goals into that activity. This ensures
the client is motivated throughout the session, allowing increased attention and
progress. Christine also believes in empowering her clients to reach their goals by
making sure they understand what they are working on and why as well as using visuals
to show how they are doing from session to session. Parents should also feel
empowered on how they can help their child at home to continue the progress they are
making in sessions. Christine maintains consistent communication with her families via
text, email, phone calls, sending short videos from sessions or sending home
worksheets utilized in sessions.
Outside the Clinic
When not working with clients, Christine enjoys listening to all kinds of music in her
music room, playing piano with her daughter, playing card and board games with her
husband and two kids and going for walks and bike rides while enjoying the simplicity
and power of nature.

We have more exciting news at Messiah Lutheran Preschool and kindergarten. We have now opened up a two year-old class for mornings only five days a week. We have also opened up our three-year-old five day a week mornings only. If you are interested in registering, please message for more information.

Hello everyone! Messiah Lutheran Preschool and kindergarten has some exciting news. Our before and aftercare is now open for Preschool through fifth grade. If you are looking for before and after care, please don’t hesitate to reach out via messenger and we can get you set up.

Strumming energizing rhythms on his banjo, Jim leads nonstop sing-alongs, dance-alongs, finger plays, tongue twisters, and a silly dance contest. He will also playfully share one of his award-winning musical books. This is an opportunity for children, parents, and grandparents to sing, dance, and play together!

Join some of our MLPK teachers and our new Preschool Director on Thursday, July 23, 2026 for an amazing outdoor summer concert with the famous family musician Jim Gill!
Date: Thursday, July 23
Time: 5:30pm-7:30pm
Dinner: free hotdog, chips, watermelon, lemonade, cupcakes, along with ice, cold lemonade, and iced tea.
Activities: face painting, and games, 30 minutes before the concert at 5:30 PM. Jim Gill begins at 6 PM.
don’t forget to bring your chair and or blanket

If the weather is bad, we will move everything indoors.
