The Parent Education Program is made available to you through the Watsonville/Aptos Adult Education's Community Education Department. The program is a hands-on parent participation program that allows the entire family to learn and grow together. You will become a valuable part of your child's education. As a cooperative family, parents are required and will be directly involved in all aspects of a functioning cooperative. Families contribute in the following ways:
* Classroom Attendance - Work one day per week in the classroom
* Parent Education Meetings - Attend monthly parent information meetings
* Support Job - Participate in helping the school run smoothly
* Snacks - Provide snacks for the children on a rotating basis
* Maintenance Day - Help clean, organize, and perform general upkeep of the classroom and yard
* Fundraising - Participate in fundraisers during the school year
Preschool:
Monday/Wednesday/Friday Class:
This class is open to children who will be four years old by September 1st of the current school year. The emphasis in this class is preparation for Kindergarten and social development. Tuesday/Thursday Class:
This class is open to children who will be three years old by November 1st of the current school year. The emphasis in this class is an introduction to school and social development.
