We provide family-centered care that addresses the emotional, practical and financial struggles for families of children and teens during treatment, families experiencing anticipatory grief and those who are bereaved. We envision a community where every child with a serious or life-threatening condition has a strong, supported and informed family empowered to fully participate in their care.

September begins tomorrow which means Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is here! 💛

This entire month is dedicated to raising awareness for a disease that impacts far too many families around the world. While childhood cancer deserves to be talked about every single day, this month gives us an opportunity to advocate even louder, raise even more awareness, and uplift the voices of kiddos and families affected by cancer so change can happen.✨

During this month, our Jacob’s Heart staff and board members will be going into cities in our service areas to accept proclamations declaring September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. 🌟 We are excited to be accepting proclamations from over 20 cities this year, further spreading the awareness of childhood cancer and the work we do at Jacob’s Heart.

This September, we invite you to Go Gold with us in honor of every kiddos affected by cancer. For those in the fight, those in remission, and those we have lost. 💛🎗️

Meet Ulises, an energetic 5-year-old that lights up every room he enters and has a way of making friends wherever he goes. His joy is contagious and it doesn’t take long to find yourself smiling right alongside him! 🌟

After battling B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia for over a year, he got to ring the bell in March 2026, signifying he is done with his treatment. This summer, Ulises and his family finally got to experience Camp Heart + Hands after having to miss out in previous years. 🏕️ Their weekend was filled with the simple, joyful moments that make childhood feel like childhood. Ulises got to laugh with new friends, play, explore, and make memories together with his family. ☀️💗

In just two weeks, we will be getting ready to kick off our Jacob’s Heart Golf Tournament! 💚🏌️

On September 11th, join us for an amazing day of golf at Seascape Golf Club in Aptos. We’ll kick things off at 9 AM with registration and a putting contest. Then, at 11 AM, it’s time for the shotgun start and a full day of friendly competition, laughs, and great golf. Spots are filling up fast, and only a few remain! Our hearts are full after another incredible weekend at Camp Heart + Hands! ❤️

At the beginning of the month, we wrapped up another Camp weekend with even more amazing memories made with our families ✨ Kiddos got to make new friends while playing in the bounce houses or splashing in the pool, while parents took time to relax and connected under the beautiful redwoods at Mission Springs.🌲 We are so happy to put on a beautiful weekend like Camp Heart + Hands for families so they can take some time to disconnect and have fun together. ⛺🧡 Thank you to everyone who donated to our campaign for Camp or shopped our Amazon Wishlist. YOU made this weekend possible and helped our families have an unforgettable time! 🌟

We want to thank all of the nurses and doctors who helped volunteer their time to be our Camp counselors, you helped make the weekend so fun for families! Thank you to all of our volunteers who helped with everything in between to make the weekend run smoothly. Our Family Center is always filled with the kindness of the amazing volunteers who walk through our doors everyday. From decorating kids cards or grocery bags, bagging and delivering grocery bags every Tuesday and Thursday, helping out at all our events, and so much more, our volunteers are a crucial part of what makes Jacob’s Heart so special! We could not do the work we do, without each volunteer.✨

We are incredibly grateful to the Del E. Webb Foundation for their generous support of our transportation program. Thanks to their recent grant, we were able to purchase two new minivans that will help ensure children and their families can get to medical appointments safely, reliably, and on time! 🚗

These vans are more than just transportation. They help us continue providing door-to-door service that eases the burden on families during an incredibly difficult time. Each ride offers parents a chance to catch their breath, children a comfortable trip to their appointments, and families an opportunity to connect with our compassionate drivers. These moments often become meaningful relationships that extend far beyond the drive itself. ❤️✨

Continuing to spread hope and healing in the midst of hard times! 💗✨

A few weeks ago, our Family Support Team hosted a meet-and-greet for new families in Santa Clara County. It was a wonderful opportunity for families to connect with one another, spend quality time together, and get to know our staff in a welcoming environment.🌟

Events like these allow us to meet families where they are at, connect them with others walking similar paths, and ultimately help build a sense of love and belonging. As our Jacob’s Heart family continues to grow, creating spaces for families to share experiences and support one another becomes even more important. We’re grateful for every opportunity to strengthen these connections and help families understand that they are not alone! 💖
