Are you interested in becoming a Special Education Teacher?

The Santa Cruz County Office of Education and San Jose State University (SJSU) are thrilled to announce a new program for folks to receive a Preliminary Credential with a Master of Arts in Special Education right here in Santa Cruz!

The Summer Session will begin on June 2, 2025. SJSU will offer a Satellite Program at the Santa Cruz COE location (400 Encinal Street, Santa Cruz). This program provides a convenient pathway for aspiring special education teachers to earn their credential and master's degree while staying close to home.
This is a great opportunity for a traditional student teaching pathway or Intern and Residency pathways.
