One of our favorite things this year was to get out of the classroom and go read the stories at the Story Walk. Thank you so much Watseka Public Library for allowing us this opportunity to read in a fun environment. We love going to the Story Walk!

We even added some rocks to BART the snake today! 💚💛🩵🩷💜

Junior high had the BEST time yesterday for our 3rd Quarter Incentive Day! The students participated in the bounce houses and ate some yummy snacks to end this 3rd quarter.

Time is FLYING by!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY!!! 🍀💚

Lenny the Leprechaun is up to his shenanigans again this year! He stole a surprise from our classroom but left 5 clues for us to follow to get it back.

Thank goodness we have a fantastic group of students to lead us the whole way there!

The 5 clues lead us to the teacher lounge that held our surprise! Silly, Lenny.

Maybe we will catch him next year!! If we have any luck 😉🍀💚🇮🇪

We had the BEST time joining the 6th graders on their 6th grade field trip today! Thank you so much for inviting our class!

We went to see Shrek Jr. the Musical and then to Adventure Commons where we ate lunch and played LOTS of sports. What a fun bonding experience with our peers.

Also, shoutout to the KVTA Shrek cast! They were truly fantastic! 💚

What a fun day learning about and celebrating Mardi Gras! 💜💛💚

The students started off the day by having a scavenger hunt to find little babies hidden around the room. (The babies symbolize good luck for the new year). Then they enjoyed a Mardi Gras lesson while wearing colorful beads (Purple = Justice, Green = Faith, Gold = Power) and making their masks for the day. They LOVED listening to the jazz music that New Orleans played during the parades. We ended the day with making and decorating a King Cake with the prize of hidden babies! We had TWO winners this year!! Woo hoo!

Junior High had a very busy day today, a field trip to IMH Resident Home this morning, Best Buddies Valentine’s Day lunch, and then we ended with our own Valentine’s Day Party back in the classroom! ❤️

It was so much fun celebrating with these students all day long. They had a fantastic Friday celebrating love!! 🩷🥰💜

Junior high had so much fun visiting the IMH Resident Home! We made LOTS of Valentine’s Day cards to pass out, heart crafts with residents, and new friendships! What a great Valentine’s Day spreading some love! Thank you so much for having us! 🩷🥰❤️
